Orlando bar offering free beer during UCF games until Knights win

I keep looking for the fine print or the disclaimer. I keep checking the calendar to make sure it's not April 1. But no, it's Sept. 29, and it looks like one Orlando bar is genuinely ready -- and I mean really ready -- to help UCF fans drown their sorrows over the team's 0-4 start:

That's from the Instagram account of The Basement, an Orlando bar that's at least finding some humor in watching the program that upset Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl just two seasons ago fall to FIU and FCS Furman in the season's first three weeks. ("Looks like we're back to being a drinking school with a football problem," they wrote on Facebook.)

So at the minimum, there's free beer on tap for the Knights' 12 p.m. ET visit to Tulane this Saturday. But there's no guarantee UCF won't extend their winless streak for a good deal longer; the Knights have been ravaged by injuries and uncertainty at quarterback has the game currently off Vegas boards. If UCF can't nab a win either in New Orleans or at home to improved UConn the following week, the chances for another look grim, with games vs. AAC contenders Temple, Houston, Cincinnati, and East Carolina slated for four of the next six weeks. (The other two? A tricky-looking trip to Tulsa and a bye.)
